“My community, the Haitian community, has given their lives for the United States. We have the people such as Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, who is the founder of Chicago. We have Karine Jeanne-Pierre, who is literally the Press Secretary. This is the caliber of people,” said Guerline Jozef, Executive Director of Haitian Bridge Alliance on Democracy Now!

For years, Jozef’s has had an “out of office” email response set to let anyone who emails her know she may be delayed in getting back to them.
